UGC NTA NET Paper-1 A Key to Success

You are preparing for UGC-NET Exam for first time or you are repeater in National Eligibility Test for Teachers or JRF. Most of us think that clearing UGC NET is a tough task and it’s a fact that it is not a tough task if you follow discipline and prepare smartly.

Every time nearly 10 lakh teachers appear for UGC NET and only top 6% scorers clears this exam i.e. roughly 60000 thousand applicants only. NET exam is designed and conducted to select most eligible candidates for post of assistant professor or junior research fellowship.

From 2018 Dec UGC-NET exam will be conducted by NTA i.e. National Testing Agency and mode of exam will be Online with multiple choice objective questions.

There will be two papers in UGC-NET Exam as follows:

  • Paper 1: General Aptitude – 100 Marks, 50 Questions of 2 Marks each
  • Paper 2: Concerned subject.– 200 Marks, 100 Questions of 2 Marks Each

Most of us have general assumption that Paper 1 is easy and we don’t pay due attention to it. If you check score of people who cleared previous UGC-NET (July 2018) exam, you will notice that people scored maximum in Paper 1 i.e. (General Paper) compared to concerned subject.

We advise you to focus on General Paper (Paper 1) and follow below given instructions for Paper 1 and it will guide you to success

1. Sort topics based on your comfort about topic: Sort list of topics based on your knowledge understanding and comfort. If you prepare list it will be easy to achieve following goals

  1. Keep focused on topics which you want to learn.
  2. Let you know strong topics
  3. Let you know week topics
  4. Can prepare road map to perfection in topics
  5. Let you write down progress in topic

2. One page notes on how to solve problems: Prepare one page notes on How to solve questions. When you start preparing write down these notes about your understanding and way in which problem can be solved.
Write down notes in your words. Write only

  1. How to understand question
  2. Shortcuts and tricks in your words
  3. Solution in your words.
  4. Formulas
  5. Key Points
  6. Definitions

There are following advantages of one page notes.

  1. It will be handy
  2. Quick revision of all topics
  3. No unnecessary reading
  4. Saves time
  5. Easy to remember all shortcuts
  6. Good for Last Minute Revision

3. Take Online Mock tests

  1. NTA (National Testing Agency) is conducting UGC-NET Exams online for first time in DEC-2018. It will all new to everyone taking this exam for first time or repeater. Taking mock tests online will give you added advantage.
  2. Take online practice tests on paper 1 it will boosts your confidence and morale
  3. Online practice tests are available with us for Paper 1 (General Paper) in English and Hindi. There are 3 Mock tests of 50 Question each. Each test has unique questions and with explanation of how to solve.

4. Aim to score maximum: You should always aim to score 100% in Paper 1. Most of the people who qualify UGC-NET score maximum marks in Paper 1 compared to Paper 2. And practically it is possible to score 100% in paper 1 as there is no negative marking.

Congratulation for putting first step towards clearing UGC-NET! Hope you will pay attention to Paper 1 (General Paper) and try to score more than 80% in Paper 1.

If I leave deta interpretation & mathematical questions , may i score good enough to get good marks.
