Here, CSE and ECE continue to remain popular choices and demands a rank under 7000 and 8500 respectively.

NIT Surathkal, Karnataka

Having a large and lush green area, the new campus of the NIT, Suratkhal is quite well maintained and is also self-sufficient in every aspect. The college offers both Undergraduate and Graduate programs and boasts of 14 functional departments along with 11 support centres comprising 200 faculty members and 300 support staff. The top-ranking branches here in this college are CSE, IT ECE and EEE in general.

However, if you wish to opt for IT then that'll be a good option too as after CS, IT is regarded as a good choice. And, getting into CSE would not be that easy as you'll need to have secured under 3000 rank whereas for IT and ECE a rank under 5000 would suffice. If you are trying get an entry through EEE then you'll roughly need to have rank under 7000. MNNIT Allahabad, UP

MNNIT is a huge college covering a total area of 222 acres of land which encompasses its academic buildings, research facilities etc. The institute is well known for the varied number of courses offered here. For B. Tech students can enroll from its nine branches and for M. Tech 19 programs are available to choose from. It is also one of the few institutes which is recognized for its centres for the Quality Improvement Program for M. Tech. & Ph.D. CSE, IT, ECE and EEE continue to lead the top programs offered by the college. Both CSE and IT demands a good ranking from the candidates and prospect of getting into the branch is secured if the candidate obtains rank under 4000 and under 6000 for IT.

VNIT Nagpur, Maharashtra

VNIT Nagpur is a public engineering and research institute which is situated in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The college offers many Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctoral, and Distance programs. VNIT also boasts of its Training & Placement Department, which provides a platform for its students to make use or apply their technical acumen to gain valuable experience by working in the mainstream industry. Regarding its engineering courses, Mechanical and Civil are the oldest branch and also sought after. But when it comes to placements CSE tops the list with attractive packages which can go as high up to 12 lakhs p.a.
