Details of CBT and Skill Test

Computer Based Examination

Total duration is of 2 Hours (2 hours and 40 minutes for the candidates eligible for scribe as per Para-6(a), 6(b) and 6(c) in notification of examination.

All questions in Stenographer group C and D online exam will be of objective multiple choice type and questions will be in English and Hindi language.

There will be negative marking equal to one-third of the marks
allotted to the question for each wrong answer in Computer Based
Examination.

Skill test in Stenography

The candidates who are shortlisted in the Computer Based Examination will be required to appear in the Skill Test for Stenography. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidates in the online Application Form) at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated 10.06.2015 published in the Gazette of India all the degrees/diplomas/certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature
